Live example: this page is the legal-page template every Freeze Frame commerce build ships with, filled in for the fictional Northwind demo. Nothing is sold or shipped from this site.

Northwind Trading Co. ("we") runs this website. This page says what information we collect, why we collect it, and who sees it, in plain English, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.

What we collect

• What you send us: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive what you type, typically your name, email, phone number, and message.
• Order details (only if you buy from us): your name, shipping address, email, and what you ordered. We never see or store your card number, payment happens entirely on Stripe's secure checkout page.
• Basic, anonymous usage data: we use privacy-respecting analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not use cookies and do not identify you personally.

What we DON'T do

• We don't sell or rent your information. To anyone. Ever.
• We don't run advertising trackers or social-media pixels on this site.
• We don't send marketing email unless you explicitly asked for it.

Who we share information with

Only the services needed to do the thing you asked for:

• Stripe processes payments (their privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy).
• USPS receives your shipping address to deliver your order.
• Resend delivers our order confirmations and replies.

How long we keep it

Messages and order records are kept as long as we need them to serve you and meet tax and accounting obligations, then deleted. Ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless a legal obligation requires keeping it.
